so who enjoys camping l love camping and many strange and amazing things have happened to me while camping,do you have any funny stories you would like to share about camping do you love camping as much as l do

Yes l like camping.

Several years ago l went camping with some buddies. One of them was going to barrow a tent from a friend of his but changed his mind on loaning it out the day we were leaving. We went anyways & at the campsite that night we were drunk & the Park ranger asked us where our tent was & one told the ranger it was stolen. The Ranger ask if it was stolen before or after we put it up. One guy said before, another said after & the third said during. l just laughed & the Ranger just shook his head & walked away.

Camping?! Absolutely love it!! Not only do l spend most of my 3 weeks of vacation camping, but any long weekends l can get off from the store. My love of camping is what lead me into my current career, manager in a very large retail store that covers camping, boating, hunting & fishing.

Funny story? Sure!

Many years ago, my now exwife & l were camping in Northcentral PA for a weekend. The first morning, we walked up to the office area to use the showers.

While in the showers, the owner of the campground rushed in to let me know a large black bear was in our campsite, tearing everything up.

Hurried back to our site to find most of our food eaten or destoryed. All we had was a small pup tent & a convertible topped Jeep. No secure place to put the food.

After cleaning up the mess, off to the local grocery store we go to resupply.

Back at the site later that day, we were sitting in lawn chairs enjoying a small campfire while listening to the radio that was sitting on a picnic table behind use. We, literally, could reach back & adjust the radio without getting out of our chairs.

Suddenly, we heard a very faint but close noise. You quessed correctly, the bear walked between use & the picnic table!! This was mid afternoon, not dusk when bears become active.

I, being much younger & much stupider, start to throw rocks at the bear to try to scare it off. The bear, walking away, gets hit a few times.

It turns, rises to its hind legs & starts to growl & snarl. l keep hitting it with rocks, at about 20 ro 25 yards of distance.

Finally, it leaves. Later in the day, we decide to take a walk around the campground. We see a group of people along the one edge, staring up into a large pine tree.

Thinking it is probably just the bear from earlier, we decide to take a look also. There r 3 bear cubs in the tree!!

Turns out, l was bouncing rocks off the mother bear that had 3 cubs in a tree about 100 yards from our site.

Back to our camp site we go, packing everything as fast as we could & headed for home. No way were we staying for the second night!!

Lesson learned: NEVER ''p o'' a bear!!!

Ya l enjoy camping. As far as funny stories go l have a few. l think the most memorable was the time a family of raccoons went to sleep in my tent. l had left for the day on a fishing trip, & accidently left the tent flap open. l came back to find 4 raccoons asleep in my tent. That got me because l figured the scent of humans & all would keep them out of there. l guess they were so used to people it didnt matter to them. l ended up going to the back of the tent & scaring them out..just goes to show mother nature has all kinds of tricks up her sleeve.

camping is allways fun.
though we can not do camping of ur style. but its fun...
there r lot of interesting stories about camping.....
every one is special....
everytime we go out camping we have new experience...
as lost in mountain,,,,, living in crop field shead... eating terible things.... alot of things...
specially that time totally pasing with friends so that is always special & un forgatable...
some time its funny,some time story of some one intiligece, sometime of passing good time.. some time of passing terible days......
but it is always fun......
