I am going camping tomarrow on the river and l need to know some good food to bring. l dont wanna do much cooking or preparing. Just some easy good stuff other than the normal hot dogs, chips and smores. Also l have a cooler but things dont stay as cold as a fridge so l kinda feel limited since l dont want the food to go bad.

Freeze as much of ur food items as possible before u go. Not only will they last longer in ur cooler but they will help keep any other items colder for a longer period of time.

Could take canned foods, as long as u r not limited to weight constaints. (Not backpacking into the river campsite) Some suggestions r stew, chili, soups, canned pasta.

If weight is a consideration, & u have the $$, look at freeze dried foods. Mountainhouse, Alpen Air, etc. Needs no refrigeration, very little work to prepare them for eating. And, it is actually quite good.

bring stuff that is already cooked but frooze and then just heat it up also bring some apples chips ect

When l go camping with my buddies near our creek or a pond we like to fish and cook them but that wont work if you can not clean them. try getting fried chicken or making sandwiches.

top ramen, boxed chili, steak, chicken, make tacos

go to wal-mart and get dried foods from the camping section. boil some water pour into pouch and wait ten minutes and they are good to.

Buy some frozen banquet cooked chicken, buy some potato salad without eggs, pack some bread and sandwich goods, chips, and canned dip, do not forget TP, a flashlight and matches and water to drink. Coffee might be good also. You waited a bit for anyone to give you the real deal.

its always nice to eat good food on holiday, if you have proper camping cooking equipment then you can cook almost anything l would recommened pasta and rice dishes, they fill you up and are seriously easy to cook have fun!

Take tortillas and stuff to put in them (chicken, veggies, beef, ect) If you wrap your tortilla in foil you can cook it over the fire.

You can take just about anything that you cook at home. The exception could be things that require baking. Grill up some sausages or chicken breasts. Heat up some canned beef stew. Make spaghetti.

As for the cooler, freeze the food that you can. This will help keep the cooler cold, as well as keeping the food from going bad. Keep that cooler in the shade as much as possible. If you store the cooler in the sun, the ice will melt really fast.
