Go for easy. Go for doing a lot of the work ahead of time.

Hamburgers & corn on the cob r the way to go for lunch/dinner. The patties can be pre-formed, u can add a little seasoning, pre-sliced cheese & you're the camp gourmet! Cook burgers in three groups, extra well done, just a bit gray, & 'just hit the grill'. Take only a limited number of special orders if u can. Always keep burgers on the grill for the second wave of burgers. Get a couple of giant pots & boil the corn with a half cup of sugar in each pot for really sweet corn. Remember to bring big tongs to grab the corn out of the boiling water.

Pancakes or scrambled eggs r easy to do for breakfast. Get the kind of mix that all u have to do is add water. Eggs keep pretty well in a standard cooler & only need a little salt & pepper, perhaps some of ur remaining cheese slices to be tasty. Bring jars of Medium Picante sauce for people to spice them up if they'd like. If you're going to do bacon strips too, u will need to remember lots of paper towels & a place to keep all of the bacon warm while the rest is cooking.

Last piece of advice, plan ur timing out. Start the water boiling early. Cooking for 30 is a real job, but can be fun. You will need at least one & probably two helpers. Try to eat about an hour before u start so u wo not be one of the edgy, cranky people waiting for their meal. You will be calmly & efficiently getting the meals prepared on time.

l also recommend that u bring enough camping stoves, check the fuel & the stove is operation before u go!

My family & l camp a lot & we frequently feed large numbers of people. The one thing that is really going to save u is to prepare some things ahead of time. Something we frequently do is to cook a large meal like chili & put it into those vaccum sealed bags, then when you're camping all u have to do is toss it into a pot of boiling water, & Voila u have an easy, fast, almost no mess meal. If u do not want to do that another great option is to make veggie packs: cut up some veggies of ur choice wrap them in aluminum foil with a little butter or olive oil & some seasonings & put them on the grill or at the edge of the fire. While those r cooking u can make whatever meat u want. A suggestion for the meat is to put it in ziploc bags with some marinade before u leave home. On another note, when it is time for breakfast premade breakfast tacos (eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese & or hashbrowns wrapped in a tortilla) wrapped in foil heat up fairly quickly on a grill or the coals of a fire. Another great breakfast idea is to mix eggs & omelet toppings of ur choice in a ziploc bag & boil it in a pot of water, instant omelet with no pan to clean. Good luck & enjoy ur trip!

That is a lot of mouths to feed & a lot of different tastes.

First of all, l am sure there will be kids, so hot dogs on the grill is a good starter. Do not get too extravagant. Dogs, buns, maybe chili that can be cooked right in the can set down in the coals(already opened, of course).

If it were cooler, I'd say cook a pot of stew or chili, but it is a little warm for that. Frozen premade hamburger patties r always an option, with chips on the side.

You could get a couple of pork roasts, inject them, wrap with a little bacon & seal in heavy foil. Cook it over a slow fire for a couple of hours. Canned veggies r an easy side item.

somthing we alwys make is called hobos
you take butter potoatoes peppers hamburger meat onions & make an aluminum bag out of tin foil butter the inside of the bag (makes it so no food sticks to the inside)

mkae a fire & then move the sticks out of the way or put a grill plate over the fire & set them on it for about 5-10 min potatoes always go on the bottoom cuz they take longer to cook but then u just open up the bags & eat

the r very good & anything can be put in them make sure every one rites there name on the foil bag in a pink red or purple sharpie so u can tell them apart. so u dont cook evryone else is

its like the campers r making their own dinner & everybody has a blast mixing it up

It may seem weird, but on our annual camping trips (20+ people) we usually have some sort of pasta dish. It is made beforehand in one of those tin dishes that can be heated on a grill, then thrown out when u r done. We usually have ziti, sauce & meatballs/sausage. We throw it on the grill & have fresh Italian bread to go with it. It is easy, everyone likes it & any leftovers r great snacks for later (especially if ur campers r drinkers!) Plus, it is really easy to clean up & pretty easy to make before the trip. Just keep it in a cooler until u r ready to eat!

Enjoy!!
