l have never heard of this brand. It all depends on how u plan to use ur tent. If ur r planning on doing some backpacking w/ ur tent, meaning u will carry the tent on ur back for a couple miles, size & weight r important. l am pretty sure this brand is lower tier, but that is not a problem if it is for car camping or festivals. Usually the lower quality tents will wear out much quicker when reguarly used in the backcountry. l would suggest RE l brand tents if u r trying to keep ur cost down. They r good quality, & RE l will replace or cut u deals if there is any problems. If u r a regular hiker, i'd go a step up. Outside of backpacks & sleeping bags, tents can make or break a trip.

These are entry level tents so if you are only camping 2-3 times a year and not in extreme conditions. l would recommend checking out campmor.com or sierratradingpost.com for tents. Mountain Hardware, North Face or Sierra Designs are all great brands. RE l will do but you can probably find a better deal on these sites. Good luck.

Rider is wrong. Quest is a top of the line 3rd tier tent manufacturer. They r made by a company based in Korea but they r strictly top of the line.

There r three levels of tent quality.

First & lowest r Coleman & tents sold at Wal-mart, K-mart & Costco. Nice little fun tents for light camping.

Second tier r sold at RE l & other big box type out doors stores though they do sell some low level stuff. RE l branded tents r mostly level 2.

Third tier r high quality tents like Quest & some others. The Peak 7 is a lot of tent. Do u need a tent this big?

A few misconceptions about A ''Quest Eagles Peak 7'' tent:

Granted, Quest is (or was) a maker of very high quality tents, HOWEVER, the tent in question is now a store brand for Dicks Sporting Goods.

It is an entry level tent that is sold in all of their locations. They carry a selection of tents in various sizes with that brand name along with sleeping bags, air mattresses, camp accessories..all with the Quest name on them.

Is it a ''good'' tent?? l would have to say it is not a ''bad'' tent for the money but they r not made for camping in extreme conditions. If u r going to use it a couple times a year, for a weekend or two in nice weather, go for it. If u r going for a week & may run into a lot of rain or high winds, go with a better tent: Coleman, Eureka, Kelty, Columbia, Marmot, TNF.

If u do decide to purchase one, ask about the one year ''No Sweat'' replacement warranty that is available for them. (Most of their camping gear was a replacement warranty available for purchase)
