we are buying an RV and going on a ''vacation'' for at least 2 months probably longer, the RV is brand new so there is nothing in it except what comes in them from the factory, l need to know what we should stock it with and what we need to bring l have a list with like clothes, flashlights, basic cleaning, and personal type stuff but what else do l need? l wanna get as much as l can from home so l do not have to buy a bunch of stuff l forgot. Toilet paper u have to buy the stuff made for the RV & the chemical for the tank. Do not forget a hose for ur water & sewer line. Those really do not cost a whole lot. We bring chairs, a little grill so we can grill outside. Bring some linens for the bed. We use paper plates, plastic silverware. l did find some inexpensive plastic plates, bowls & glasses at the grocery store. Do not forget cooking utensils, pots, pans, cheese grater, knives, bowls, can opener, everything u need at home u will need for the RV. Hmmm it is definately a learning experience. We still forget some things & we've had ours since the beginning of the year.(well 18 ft trailer). Do not forget towels for showers & to wash plates, pots, pans. Ummm gee i'm sure l am forgetting somethings.

Same things you'd use at home. When we go on a long tent camping trip, l make a list - but start with the major categories: Bathroom, Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom, Patio (campfire time).

Under each category, list all the stuff u use daily, that u will need. You should find plenty of space in ur RV - use small to medium sized Rubbermaid totes to sort it, then slide the totes into the cabinets, or unload them into them when you're ready to depart.

For the Kitchen list, I'd put together a permanent stock of things u will always need: basic herbs & spices, olive oil, etc. Then think about a few basic menus u can use & stock in the foods u will need for the first 4-5 days. Do not forget to bring lost of garbage bags & aluminum foil They come in handy.

For the ''Patio'' or Campfire time - u will want some folding chairs, maybe a side table, a lantern might be nice, or maybe tiki torches, & some flashlights. You will also want grilling utensils for cooking over the fire. If you're in an area where u can use downed trees for firewood, u will want a bow saw for cutting up kindling, maybe an axe?

In the Bathroom list, do not forget to include a well stocked first aid kit, along with bug dope, sunblock, & after sun cream.

Have fun making the list - & do not stress about it. You can always add things as u travel around.

1.If ur unit does not come with a carbon monoxide detector-buy one. They have proven to be a lifesaver for campers.
2.A small tool kit can be handy. Just the basics. Pliers, screwdrivers. Tape.
3.And have some spare fuses handy. Know how to change them. Spare light bulbs is not a bad idea.
4.Make sure the unit has a spare tire-and a jack. And know how to change a flat
5.Keep all the units instructions in one location.
6.Know how to lower & raise the awning
7.If it comes with a generator make sure u know how it starts, & how to do a power transfer to it.

Pans, Pots, Dishes, Sheets, Towels,Ect. Hope you have fun.
