it matters where you live. In florida, there is Wekiva state park. you should go to any state park they will let you in.

Have u been camping before with other people? That makes a big difference u see.

The biggest obstacle u r going to have to work on is other people. Your parents might not be too happy but there r ways round that. For example, u could go to a campsite, & ur parents go too but camp apart (so u can do ur thing, they can do theirs & u r there in case they get into trouble & check they do not start drinking), do not ask to go as past of a large group, parents think the worse for that, but if its just u & ur sister - better chance

Now there is where to stay, & for a first camping trip l would go to a normal campsite (rather than camping wild). Again u have yo persuade the owners that u r responsible enough to camp there (see why having parents near might help?) but if parents book for u more chance of being allowed. You might be able to ring a farmer up & ask to camp in a corner of their field.

You might want to check out what facilities r near (for example - food shops, buses etc)

Before u go u will need some kit - borrow or buy, & if u r not sure what then ask another question (too long an answer to include all of that on this answer!).

You will also need to figure out what to eat & how u r going to get the food ( l do not know how old ur sister is or if she can drive etc). You will have to check where the nearest shop is if u want to buy food while u r away. Bear in mind how easy it will be to cook on whatever u have to cook with (or u could buy take aways -fish & chips & things). You might have to take all the food with u - so decide what u want to eat & go shopping (bear in mind that u wo not have a fridge to keep things fresh)

Now u know where u r going, whats around u & what u can eat, & u have permission to go, so whats stopping u from going? Get to the campsite, set up & now what to do while u r there?

Loads to do while u r camping, what do u like doing? l enjoy for example, having a night just chatting with no TV, computer, phones off etc, just chatting & chilling. During the day u can explore the local area - walk or something, go to the town, or look on the internet to see what is around (for example, if u go near the midlands u could have a dsy out at Alton Towers).

So what to do?
Persuade people to let u go camping & stay at their campsite
Organise, borrow, buy ur equipment
Check the facilities on & near the campsite - for example, a shop nearby, transport etc.
Check what there is to do in the area
Go shopping for some food (at least supper for ur 1st night & breakfast for ur 1st morning)
Pack ur bags & off u go.

If you've never camped before it can be a harrowing experience to go it alone at ur age.

l would check around for a group. Many churches & schools have outdoor clubs. They always welcome beginners. See if there is a local Sierra Club chapter near you. They, too, sponsor outings, with many of them designed for beginners.

By joining such a club u will have the experience & expertise of other members to call on; they can teach u what u need in terms of equipment & clothing; & ur parents minds will be eased if they know ur with such a group.
