im planning this for a week in spring we are going in northeast indiana
and lemme know if l should or shouldnt add anything to the list

im wondering if the following would be enough:

IBprofen/tylenol/advil
a few lighters
a few knives
hatchet
gloves for all 3 of us
3 changes of clothes
5 rolls of TP
lighterfluid
canned foods/freeze dried
can opener
flashlights/ lanturn
flint/newspaper/lint
lots of rope
swiss army knife
mosquito spray
well stocked medkit
duct tape
bottled water
watch for each person
machette
bucket
shovel

Wil this be enough to sustain 3 teenage boys for a week? am l missing anything?
we will avoid civilization and dont want tents pillows / blankets

l guess that pretty much covers the basics
First aid kit was a good idea, cause things do happen

depeding on where you go they sonmetimes have firewood rounds for you to uses, so if thats the case l would suggest bringing either a small sledge hammer and wedge, or a larger axe. and a camp saw, comes in handy

Definitly bring a tarp. If not a tarp, bring some sort of plastic big enough to use as cover. Your not gonna last ten minutes if it rains. Run a length of rope from on tree to another as high up as u can. Drape the darp over it with equal lengths of tarp on each side. Next tie maybe 3 feet of rope on each of the four corners. Attach the rope to a tent stake with a simple loop & secure all four corners. If it starts raining really hard & the ground does not drain well, u can use ur shovel to cut a moat in the ground to divert the water around ur dry space. Also bring rain gear. Spring time can be kind of moody.

Other things l think u should bring.

- Soap or waterless hand sanatizer.
- Sunglasses
- Extra batteries for ur flashlights.
- Eating utensils.
- Map of the area with compass. If u get lost, just make a compass reading & head for the nearest road/highway.
- If ur not going to bring any blankets or tents, l would find a spot to camp up against a big rock or something like that. That way u will stay warmer because the heat of the fire will reflect heat off of the rock behind you. Acts as a good windshield as well. One thing about wood, try to push down, chop, saw, or pull down dead standing trees. These r much drier than wood on the ground & usually yields more wood per exertion of energy.

Be careful. Nature can do anything she wants. If ur not too experienced dont go to far from civilization. Sounds like u need to master some basic skills.

Dont camp next to rivers. Make sure to dig a hole to dispose of waste, that way predators wo not be tempted. Try not to wear cotton AT ALL. If u sweat during the day it will build up moisture & not dry good. And then at night u will be freakin cold!

You will need some real good signaling devices to alert the helicopters looking for your freezing wet azzes. No tents or blankets? You must be new to this.

Northeast Indiana? You mean pigeon river? Here is a link to a backpacker food maker.

l did not see sunblock on your list. Even if you're mostly shaded you need it. l buy the bug repellent/sunblock combo and.

Several flashlights and lanterns as the cheapie ones will break when you drop them. Lots and lots of batteries.

Good socks and hiking boots. Break them in before you go.

And a tent. Why would you want to go camping without shelter??? That is the #1 basic item.
