Hi
Thinking about hiring a RV in Western Canada for a 2-3 week holiday. Which company is best? Which company is cheapest? Where can you pitch up? Best places to pitch up?
What things should we look out for? What price is fuel? How many miles to the gallon or kms to the litre will a RV typically do?

Many questions and so much l wanna know. Any advice appreciated. l will award best answer status.

I've attached a few links to RV rental companies. l am assuming that ''pitch up'' means to camp. Depending on the part of the country you're in, that will mean sticking to campgrounds. In some parts of the country u can find random camp sites on Crown land, but those r generally not well known & not included in directories. If you're going into the National Parks, there is no camping allowed outside the campgrounds.

The price of gasoline varies depending on location, but the news is forecasting gas as high as $1.40/litre by summer. It is currently $1.12/litre where l am living (northwestern Alberta). You can check out gas prices at Albert Gas Prices & BC Gas Prices (links below). The mileage of the vehicle will depend on the size of the vehicle. Most people l know who have mid-sized motorhomes seem to be getting around 15mpg, but the larger ones will be as low as 8-10mpg.
