l wanna buy a new water bottle and wanna spend about less than 16$ on it l want one of those polycarbonate or lexan bottles and do not know what to get l like the nike 32 oz poly carb and th e32 oz nalgene wide mouth


i need suggestions , links , what ever you have to give

You are over-analyzing it. A water bottle is a water bottle. The polycarbonate ones you're looking (recycle symbol number 7) wo not absorb drink flavor/color and wo not make your water taste funny.

l have two recommendations. l have used, & like, the Camelbak Better Bottle & the Nalgene OTB Bottle. l have many different ones & these two r my favorite.

The difference between them is that the Camelbak uses a straw, so u have to suck the water. The Nalgene is an open top, so u pour the water. Each one is better in certain situations. The Camelbak is better for biking, the Nalgene is easier to drink from while standing still & better for getting larger drinks.

Decide which application is better for u & go with one of those.

On both of those, the taste is fine, the profile is slim, the cleaning is easy (dishwasher), the durability is top-notch, & the look is fine.plenty of color options.

Another, non-plastic option, is Sigg brand bottles. Those have been getting a lot of attention lately & r good bottles as well. They r metal, so tend to be a little lighter, have a slim profile, do not add taste to the water, & r supposed to be more environmentally friendly in the manufacturing process. They have a ton of different designs available. And being metal, they r tough. Drawbacks r that they have screw on/off lids, unless u buy a separate fliptop, & they tend to be more expensive than their plastic counterparts.

But as the other poster said, a bottle is essentially a bottle in the end.

l use a eddie bauer wide mouth. The cool part about these is u can clip a carabiner in it & clip it on ur belt or bag or whatever. l keep two. one for water & one for misc things u cannot get wet. l put my smokes,cell phone & keys in the other one usually. Neither one of them have ever leaked. l also take one fishing with me & use it as a small tackle container. MIne was about $5 & l have had it several years. It is 32 oz & the model number is EB65074. l could be wrong but l think for a few more bucks, you could get a water purifier/bottle combo. It wont filter hundreds of gallons, but if you need it for 3-5 gallons, it will be better than not having it. Plus, you still have the bottle when done. Think you can get these on the net for about 16-20bucks.
