what are some places to find cheap outdoor tents that can fit more thatn 6 people? l live in Dublin, Ohio! Please help! l need this soon!

Well Wal-Mart has tents that are reasonable but a large tent (fits 6) will be expensive and hard to find. Can you buy 2 smaller ones?

Kudos on the Cabelas thing (my personal fav.)! However you can also check out EMS Stores, RMI, Bass Pro Shops. l just order one from there yesterday for $20 (norm. $50) as an extra when l camp with my nephews. If you want the ''special code for this tent, email me and l will send the info. It is not available online. (code is in Outdoor Life Mag.)

Look for online deals from the major retailers.. u should be able to lay hands on a 6 person tent for around $100-$125 bucks..

Another thought - if u want something more ''heavy duty''.

Check out any Army-Navy surplus stores in ur area. You can probably pick up a GP (general purpose) Small or GP Medium tent for very little $$$. Might need to patch a seam & I'd re-waterproof ALL seams before going out in it. They r bulky, but built to last.

A GP small can easily fit 6 adults.

l used to go on overnighters with my church youth group with a GP Large (think like MASH TV show..). We could sleep 30+ teenagers in one of those with room to spare for gear !

Try this. We just bought a 3 room tent there that was originally 600 for about $250. It was one of the most expensive tents. The have a good variety and they ship FAST!!!!

Be VERY cautious about getting used tents or eBay items.

It sounds like you're just starting out. l suggest u go with one of the WalMart or Target specials (assuming u do not have a Cabela's, REI, Dick's, etc. nearby). Practice setting it up in the yard before taking it to the camp. Midnight in the windy rain is no time to be testing a tent for the first time. Also, serious consider forgoing the group thing - one loud snorer or Somno-flatulent expert could make things very uncomfortable for everyone.

Bass Pro Shops. There is one in Fairfield, Cincinnati. l do not know where Dublin is in relation to here though. basspro.com has a listing on their homepage of all the stores everywhere.

Ask a homeless person,they camp all the time..

Go to google.com and then to the maps tab. Type in ''dublin ohio camping''. l just did and quite a few camping stores camp up in Columbus which seems close to you. Go to stores and check out their tents or see if they have website so you can get a feel for what they might offer.
