got the crank-up camper set up and now the crank doesn't work to get the camper down what do i do

If it is jammed try going up a little bit or try spaying it with PB Blaster it is like WD40 but works 5x better.

you may have cranked it up too far. if you can reach the top, pull down a little (this is tricky.. you can not pull to hard, but just enough to reset it.. will kinda slip down a bit). also try gently pushing down while someone cranks it down.

if not, then you will have to contact a local dealer.

l had an older tent trailer that did that. l crawled under it and discovered that there was a bent rod that stopped the release mechanism to work. While l was still under it, l had someone gently crank it 'down' while l guided the bent rod into place. Once it started down, l crawled out. When we got it lowered, l promptly made arrangements for it to be repaired at the shop.

If you are not careful, you can snap the cable. Then it could be costly.
