I'd like a little of everything you experience while camping: Lake for swimming and fishing, sleep in a tent, a bit of hiking, etc) I am planning a camping trip for myself and a group of friends and l want it to be great!! Where should we go???

I am also open to any other ideas for planning this trip????

if you are close to colorado, there are lots and lots of great places to go camping. You have blue mesa which has a big resevoir, silverjack which too has water for sports. if you are close to co and that is an option, email me and l can give you more details

Upstate New York, in the Adirondacks around the Lake Placid area. They have hiking trails through the mountains with campsites along the trails. Or pure wilderness camping along the AuSable and Salmon rivers. Beautiful country, fantastic fishing, a little of everything. Just make sure you hang your food and cooking utensils on a branch over the water at least 10 ft high. Otherwise the beavers will rip it up. It is fun to listen to them slapping their tails under it all night.

aww l would love to help but l live in england,we have some of the most beautifull lanscapes and campsite in the world,but l guess it would be to far for you to travel,:} never mind l would have helped if l could,happy camping,iv camped for years is great fun,

if you want to make a good trip go out west somewhere like the other people suggested.

Have you checked the Feather River area out, could do some gold panning there, could find enough to pay for your trip.

Drive up the Eastern Sierra is Hwy. 395. Mt. Whitney on the left Death Valley on the right. You can cut across to Yosemite or Bodie Ghost town. Manny lakes around Bishop and hot springs around Mammoth lakes. You can even rent an RV trailer and have it delivered to your camp site.
