if you are willing to go to north-carolina virginia area Philpot is pretty much the best

If your in california l would suggest ''Leo Carillo'' up PCH, it is nice, there is a camp ground and right across is the ocean, it is beautiful at night...Good Luckl

l think that you should just go to a nudist camp ground.
l go to them all the time.
They are very popular where l live.
l just do not like how everybody else wears clothes.
l think that they intimidated by my beautiful body.
l always end up getting kicked out and end up in jail!
l did not know that it was against the law to be sexy!

Twin Rivers Campground is near Marble Hill, MO & its a pretty nice place to camp from what l hear. Also they have places nearby to ride ATVs.

If u do not mind the drive - try Lake Chicot State Park in Arkansas, it is on a huge lake & has many spots near the water. If u want an adventure, consider going to the Ocoee River near Ducktown, TN - use an outfitter called Ocooee Adventure Center & take a whitewater rafting trip. If u go there, l recommend Thunder Rock Campground.

As for when to go - NOW, its still cool at night & u can enjoy the fire. I'd highly suggest the weekend AFTER Memorial Day so u wo not be stuck with tons of people. Anytime of year is great to camp if u have the right clothes & a fire. l like to avoid the really hot part of summer unless l am near water.

Good food thats easy to take & cook? Get a camp stove & a 12'' Lodge Cast Iron Skillet. Take bacon, sausage, eggs & good bread for breakfast. Polish Sausage works good without the skillet just cooked over the fire. Another suggestion for lunch or dinner is to take hamburger, onions, potatos, carrots, & ur choice of spices or maybe a little A1 & cut everything up & wrap it tightly 2 times in aluminum foil. Put it in the side of the campfire for about an hour, turning occasionally. Open & enjoy.

Do not forget marshmallows, graham crackers & hershey bars to make smores.

there are lots of rivers in the Ozark mountains in Missouri and Arkansas. The Buffalo River in Arkansas is my favorite. l am going next week. Tyler Bend is the best place to camp on the Buffalo, followed by Buffalo Point.
