Or any other places, does not have to be a State Park. We're coming from FL. We're looking for something in the mountains with lots of trails and beautiful scenery. We've been searching the individual park websites, but just looking for some input. Thanks.

Unicoi State Park, just outside of Helen, is nice. It is in the mountains, has lots of trails, & the scenery is great. It is also right next to Anna Ruby Falls, which is a good if not overwhelmingly great water fall, & a lot of National Forest Land.

l do like to ''rough it'' when l go camping but l have to admit it is also not bad that u have a few more choices than l am used to when camping at this park. Their lodge serves buffet meals & u can also visit Helen (3 miles away) & find a wide range of places to eat.

l was actually going to say Unicoi Park, however Vogel, FDR, Amicalola (spelling), GA Veterans, are all also very good. They are findable on the Internet. In Unicoi Park, a cool place to stay is called ''the squirrel is Nest''. Have a great time.
