GORP (good old raisins and peanuts). Dried fruits work well. Jerky. A lot depends on the duration of the trip and how much mass (weight and volume) you want, or can bring in. Is this car camping, backpacking, canoe camping or on horseback? Each has its own limitations. Another consideration is food allergies and food preferences of the other campers. A good place to start looking is the Boy Scouts.

If you're backpacking l suggest the Mountain House brand of dehydrated meals - their meals r the most flavorful in my opinion & they have a good vegetarian section if you're looking for low fat meals.
To supplement the meals go to ur local grocery & check out the mashed potato mixes, & the foil wrapped/packaged chicken & tuna. l know that a lot of people suggest Ramen noodles but l personally do not like the flavor.

If you're car camping with ice & cooler take what ever u want & can fix over ur cooking sources (charcoal grill, gas grill, etc.).

I've been eating Enertia Trail Foods for years (link below). Some items l will add a 3 oz. foil pouch of tuna or chicken to. Carry some 5 oz. pouches of preseasoned tuna steaks and chicken breasts (ginger soy, lemon, etc.) and match them up with something that seems to match, BBQ chicken with the Pinnacle Pasta for example. A number of their items are completely vegan and taste great. l can pack 5-7 days of food in pretty well with these as they're pretty lightweight.
