Going camping with my daughter who is 13 and on that turning point of not thinking I am kewl for mouch longer....any fun things u can suggest we do?

Teach her to drive l know it is kinda early but one of the best summers of my life was the summer my dad taught me to drive. l was 12. We were camping and there were a lot of dirt roads around and lots of room to make mistake and we drove for what seemed like hours.do not forget to show her how to check the oil and all that stuff. all the other camping things will be much cooler when she is full of the confidence that learning to drive will bring

The driving idea is great. l remember when my dad took me & my brother on some dirt roads to learn how to drive. l was about 9 & it was a blast. Ca not go wrong there!

Another thing l enjoyed was riding ATVs, that is cool if u do not own a ATV cause some states have places for just riding ATVs along with rental shops & mini fuel stations on the trails. l know a lot of people think these r dangerous but it is just like driving any other motor vehicle just do not act stupid & amazingly u will be fine. If u can find one of those such places then it is worth the drive cause u can ride all day & probably never hit the same trail. There r signs & maps on the trails like at a national park so u can not get lost. Well, at least the ones here have them.

If u camping near a lake then ask someone there to take u on a speed boat & try to knock u off the raft or tube that is tied to the back. The object here is even though ur flying through the air & hitting the water u try to hold on as much as possible. If he is a good driver then he will put some slack on the line in a turn & then shoot out to jerk u up in the air. This is fun cause ur flying & splashing through the water. If u can rent a jet ski at the lake marina then ur daughter will never forget how much fun that was.

Fishing is another good thing. However, if u want to see ur daughter actually have a good chance of catching something then take her to a trout farm or other fish farm. The reason l say a trout farm instead of a lake or pound is that even though they r supposely ''stocked'' u really have to know about fishing in order to catch. Your daughter is 13 & probably want have much fun casting & reeling over a long period of time without catching something. So at a good trout farm she should be able to catch something in seconds of each cast.

Look up some good ghost stories on the internet to tell around the fire & get some good camping food.

On ur way back hit up a amusement park.

Remember she 13 & very energetic so u should probably keep things coming one after the other.

If u need directions then is maps should work. It shows u the roads & a arrow on the map of the place ur looking for. Like most trips u have to drive all over the place to get to certain activities so do not execpt one place to have it all.
