I am looking for family friendly places to camp in southern california or central california, or not too expensive cabin rentals. Swimming, fishing and hiking would have to be included as well.

that is odd, just looked at my road atlas for camping areas, & guess what, there are none, Hmmm, l do not think l want to go to california.
try calling the conservationist, they should beable to help.

There is a book called California Camping by Tom Stienstra. It is the camping bible you might say. Anyways, it list all campgrounds in California including RV places, tent places, and even back packing places. He tells what each campground has, where it is, and rates the quality too. Bes book ever. l have the book, but l am too lazy to start looking up campgrounds in Southern California as they have so many. Another place to look is Reserve america on line.
