me and a couple of my friends (between 3 and 7, dont know yet) are going on a camping trip this may, and l was wondering about what to do. its not like a ''roughing it'' camping trip, its more of a ''get away from our parents'' camping trip. theres a lake nearby the campground, so were going skinny dipping, but l dont really know what else we should do. were all 15-16 years old, so theres no easy way for us to get our hands on some booze. so l was wondering what other fun things we can do (there will be no parental supervision, of course). you have to reserve the campground really far in advance for that weekend, thats why im thinking about it so early.

so what cool things are there to do on a camping trip with only teenagers and no parental supervision?
we dont have the faintest clue what the weather will be like because we live in michigan. one year we had temps of about 90 degrees in late may. the next year in late may there was still snow on the ground. =/
also, what should l bring? its just a one day trip. so far l have:
tent
skillet
bacon
marshmallows
chocolate
graham crackers
hot dogs
knife
lighter
lighter fluid (just in case)
beverages
and my friend said shed bring her guitar so we can sing campfire songs
id really like to go on a weekend trip, but we all have school on monday and were gonna need at least one day to get over our hangovers ;) and then another day for homework and stuff. sleeping bags of course, and we wont be going fishing. this is really a domestic campground, there are bathrooms about 500 yards from the campground (but none of us are willing to walk that far). so we dont need any roughing it type advice. its mainly a getaway from our parents. so just stuff we can do (we will have a bunch of technology cause none of us can live without it).
ive been camping there before, and l they have a bunch of fallen trees there, so firewood wont be a problem. im gonna bring my machete. as for the toilet, thanks for the idea, but thats what the bushes are for.

CTF & fishing (wo not work unless 16 yr olds either do not need a license or r willing to buy one, assuming u can skin & cook them if u intend to eat them) come to mind.

Sleeping bags & a ground cloth for underneath the tent should be there, along with a waterproof matches in case the lighter breaks, u have a way to start a fire.

Sorry guys, but l do not think l (italicize) would have fun on only a one nighter. Most of the campouts l go on last at least a weekend, but then again, camping is Troop 733, the rest of life is just details.

Do not forget the firewood and kindling since some places in Michigan its illegal to cut down your own firewood at state parks.

Depends on what you're going for. You can stay at the campsite & play poker or other card games. You can sit around the fire talking (which is generally what we do most of the nights). You can bring yard games like Washers or Goofy Golf, Ladder Ball, Polish Horseshoes or whatever else people call that game with the balls on strings that u have to toss & wrap around the ladder. If u want to be a little more active u can go hiking or mountain biking. l am sure the campground has nearby trails. If u get there on a Friday night u will barely have time to set up camp before dark & then u can sit around the fire. The next day if u sleep late u wo not have much time at ur site before u have to leave so u will probably spend most of ur time around the fire hanging out. Have fun! Remember, the park rangers will be on the look-out for underage drinkers & can give u tickets just like any police officer. Make sure u r not making too much noise or u will get stopped & they will check IDs if they see that you're drinking, especially a group of young kids.

By far the most interesting game kids & adults can enjoy during the day is Geo Caching.

If u google it, u will can find tons of geo cache sites.

Other activities like swimming is good now & then when it gets hot.

Give them a 5 watt transceiver so to keep in touch.

The night before the kids can prepare something to put into the cache.

During the day no one wants to just sit at base camp.
Playing board games is a night time activity.
Going into the woods is about exploring & hiking.

Other activities require more skill.
Such as mountain climbing & cave exploring.
